Vice President
Jumi Odumosu, born and raised in Nigeria, moved with her family to Canada from New Zealand in 2018. Her journey is marked by a deep commitment to volunteer work and professional development. At every church she is a part of, she volunteers her time by teaching children, teenagers, and mentoring young adults.
Jumi has a wide range of experience in various fields, such as Human Resources, Customer Service, Teaching, and Administration. With a passion for helping people cope with adversities, she is transitioning into Counselling Psychology to become a psychotherapist dedicated to supporting those facing life challenges. She was drawn to MWONL vision of empowering and supporting women from diverse backgrounds.

Born and raised in Lebanon, Beirut, she brings with her 11 years of experience as a plastic surgeon assistant. In 2019, she made the significant decision to relocate to Newfoundland to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Since then, she has been actively involved with MWONL (Multicultural Women's Organization of Newfoundland and Labrador). Initially joining as a volunteer in 2021 to teach English, she has since become deeply engaged with the organization. In 2023, she was honored to accept a position as a board member, furthering her commitment to supporting and empowering women in our community.

Dr. Manu Jain is an accomplished economist, educator, and researcher, specializing in economic policy analysis and insurance. With a Ph.D. in Economics focusing on social security programs, she brings expertise in academia and industry. Teaching at esteemed institutions and conducting research projects. she has contributed to diverse areas, including social,political, and environmental.With a passion for lifelong learning, she continues to explore new avenues for impact and growth. She is dedicated to driving innovation and infuse humanity into real-work challenges. Her international exposure cultivated through academic and corporate experiences align seamlessly with the values of MWONL.

Tithy Dev

Tithy Dev is a PhD candidate in Transdisciplinary Sustainability at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland. With an MA in Environmental Policy from the same university and a background in Economics from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, she is a full-time faculty member there. Tithy has research experience in Bangladesh and volunteers with MWONL in Corner Brook, NL.

Stella Zulu-Nwankwo

Stella Mumbi Zulu-Nwankwo is a professional with a rich multicultural background and a strong commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding. Born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia, Stella completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Zambia before embarking on an international academic journey. She earned a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby (United Kingdom) and will be awarded a Doctorate in Philosophy in Management from the University of the Western Cape (South Africa) in September 2024.
Her diverse educational background along with her experience living in various societies has provided her with a broad understanding of global issues and a deep appreciation for cultural nuances.

Mary served as President of the Newfoundland & Labrador Federation of Labour (NLFL) from 2013-2023.
Prior to that, Mary held the position of Atlantic Regional Director, and NL Representative, for the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC); where she worked from 2001. She cut her union teeth in
the early 80’s as a union representative, and member of her Local’s Executive Board at Air Canada, where she worked for 28 years. Through her work at Air Canada, and the CLC she has been a proud member of the CAW, CEP,Unifor, and the IAMAW.
In March 2021 Mary was named one of the top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business by the Atlantic Business magazine.
Mary may have retired from her job, but states that she will never retire from the “movement” she loves so much.
